Scentsy Consultant – Scentsy Hits A Home Run

What a great weekend we had in Hilton Head South Carolina. As Scentsy reps displayed upcoming products from the Spring Summer Catalog Sheri and I couldn’t help but get excited. I have always loved the products that Scentsy makes available to us to sell and this Catalog doesn’t fall short in any way. There are some of the most beautiful and interesting warmers I have seen yet. I can’t wait to get my order of new Catalogs in to be able to get them out to all of you guys.

I have a few Scentsy Parties planned for March and still have a couple of openings, so give me a call quick and I can set you up to get first look at the Spring Summer Collection.

Scentsy Wickless Candles Vs. Candle and Soap Making

The Scentsy Wickless Candles

Nautical Styled Scentsy WarmersMore people are taking an interest in candle and soap making than ever before.  It is not a surprise because you can have a lot of fun making candles and soap but of course you need to know how to do it.  The steps involved in making candles and soap are really quite simple.  You may want to do it as a hobby on the side or actually start up your very own business.   When considering making candles, the thought of safety must come to mind not only for yourself when you are making the candles but for your customer who is buying the candles.  Did you know that candles can burst into flame when the wax reaches 375 degrees Fahrenheit?  Not a very safe way to add wonderful scents to your home or to your customers home knowing the dangers that exist.  Sure we don’t hear of too many candles that you purchase from a store just bursting into flame.  However, the mixtures are precise and are mixed by machines that are set for the perfect mix of wax.

If you are looking to start a business selling candles, there is a new product called Scentsy Wickless Candles.  There is no flame associated with the wickless candle and they have over 80 scents.  Now I am slightly biased because I started selling Scentsy a couple of months ago and I have done great in the business.  I have my own Independent Scentsy Distributorship and my husband helps me with the business.  Most people I have presented the Scentsy products to has found something they love.  I am only in my second month and have received special bonuses for both months.  I am now in my third month and hope to continue with the momentum.

So, if you are looking to get in to candle and soap making as a business, you may want to take a look at Scentsy Wickless Candles.

Scentsy Candles A Different Type Of Candle

Today there is a whole new type of candle called scentsy candles but I remember a time in my childhood when I was making scented candles at home.  It was either the late 70′s or early 80′s.  We had a simple way which was to use milk cartons as molds for the candles.  We were able to change the colors of the candles by adding crayons to the wax.  I remember going to the craft store.  I think it was called Champions or something like that.   We went there to buy the wax and the scents to give our candles a great smell.  We used pots on top of the stove to heat the wax and when the wax turned to liquid, we would drop in crayons and stir to make swirls of color.  We made a bunch of candles that day, and we were able to layer the colors by waiting for one color to cool slightly before pouring on the next layer.  Some of the layers were made to slant by simply tilting the mold to different angles.  I remember loving it when the wax cooled because of how fun it was to peel off the milk carton revealing my creation.

The candles were fun to make but I can also remember that they didn’t burn so well.  We had to throw much of the wax in the trash because the flame just burnt down the center leaving most of the edges.  It didn’t matter to me though because I was only concerned with how great my candles looked and that I was the one that made them.  The candles that I made as a child were not safe at all.  Do you know what a candle will do when it reaches 375 degrees Fahrenheit?  Well, needless to say.  I know…  They burst into flame and a very large flame at that.  Not real safe to have around kids but, back then, all I cared about was how they looked.

Today there is a whole new type of candle called scentsy candles and they are much safer than those homemade candles.  Let me just tell you a little about the scentsy warmer.  I love the fact that Scentsy Warmers sell themselves.  It seems like everyone that sees the warmers and sniffs the scents falls in love with at least one scent and one warmer.  I guess this is because there are so many different styles and scents available.  It is great that Scentsy has no flame.  This makes me feel safer than I feel when burning candles.   Another thing I love about these candles is you can change out the wax with ease and have a new scent within minutes.  The fact that there is no smoke after blowing out a flame is great.  That is the worst thing about burning a candle.  With the scentsy wax, I can stick my finger down in the wax and not get burned.
